Easter Morning

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…
Was crucified for you and me…
He was tortured and hung upon the cross…
For everyone to see…

Then
He suffered so and tears did flow…
From His eyes so full of pain…
He was laid to rest in a tomb of stone…
But then He rose again…

And
He ascended into heaven…
There He waits for us…
We all will join Him once again…
If in His hands we place our trust…

Thus
If we love him and follow him…
Tell all people of His word…
Put our faith within His hands…
Our every prayer is heard…

God…
We thank you as His father…
For your son you gave that day…
For His blood that flowed from Calvary…
To wash our sins away…
